When I received a copy of Jimmy Steinfeldt’s new book Rock ‘N’ Roll Lens recently, I was really knocked out. Jimmy’s sifted
through his volumes of photos taken during the last 30 years as a premier Rock photographer, to come up with a real special book.
Jimmy’s condensed and to the point stories and recollections on the opposite page of each picture, conjure a mental video of what he experienced surrounding the artists, people, and events involved with the taking of each picture. You feel like you’re there along with Jimmy.
There’s an interesting interview in the beginning of the book with famed music journalist and author Harvey Kubernik (Canyon Of Dreams and A Perfect Haze). ROCK’N’ ROLL LENS is a must have coffee table book for Rock fans and a time capsule of some truly unique artists and moments, that you’ll look at and read about over and over.
I showed Jimmy’s book to a girl too young to really know about these artists in-depth, and she was blown away. She said the book even smelled good.
